The selection of nominees for the open Invitation of RFQ international invited design competition for construction of Chungnam Art Center has been concluded. We extend our sincere gratitude to all 27 teams who participated in the Open Invitation of RFQ and to everyone who showed interest and support.

We hereby announce the list of nominees, listed alphabetically by the name of the representative company:
– ANU Design Group Co., Ltd. + UNStudio
– NOW Architects Co, Ltd. + 2Portzamparc
– Sia Plan Architects & Planners Co., Ltd. + 3XN + MDA Architects Co., Ltd.
– Tomoon Architects & Engineers Co., Ltd. + MVRDV + METAA Architects & Associates
– Unsangdong Architects Co., Ltd. + Haenglim Architects & Engineers Co., Ltd.

Additionally, there were disqualified teams due to non-compliance with the following submission regulations as stated in the guidelines:
– Up to 3 people (companies), including the representative, can make a joint application.
– The representative must be a Korean architect who has opened and registered an architect office in Korea.
– If one company participates as a joint applicant in 2 or more works, it will be disqualified.

Chungcheongnam-do is dedicated to the establishment of Chungnam Art Center, in order to build a highly utilized art center that presents high-level performances beyond being a regional symbol. We will continue to make our best efforts to ensure fairness and transparency throughout this process.
